Only reason that Corolla hauled ass is because Toyota had hired Yamaha to design the high-revving 2zz. The only engine in Toyota history that is capable of competing with Honda's "VTEC" because it had a similar way of achieving high lift after certain RPMs mated to a 6spd transmission.
Its a shame they Toyota discontinued it and began using that 2.4L from the Camry in everything (TC, Camry, Corolla XRS).
You can thank the obese American Consumers for this one.

What about it. It has a 3 liter and is turbo charged. Different class. Compare it with a Honda 3.0 thats turbo charged like the love fab nsx.

If you call beating S2000 this then your surely mistaken. You did the same thing with the Corolla video. Shut the video off when he slowed down cause the race was ova. Haha this is a joke XRS is slow get ova it...

There is a poll in 9thgencorolla [dot] com and 30-32 mpg is what many XRS owners are getting. Of course some with very light foot gets over that.
