Part 1: Homemade Jamaican Corset
Underbust corset with closed front made from 9 panels.
Fabrics: black twill, green twill and gold grosgrain tape
22 bones in all: 16 quarter-inch-wide spirals on the sides; 2 half-inch wide flat steel in the center front. By the grommets, 2 half-inch flat steel and 2 quarter inch flat steel.
Includes a twill waist tape, 24 size #00 gold grommets and 10 yards of half-inch-wide green double-faced satin laces.

Part 2: JAMAICAN TAG!!

My ppl are from Jamaica too. I haven't been in about 8 years. You know what I haven't seen in US are guineps!

@jsamari That's true!! They're not in Canada either - I suspect they don't travel well. My aunt brought back guineps for me last time she went to Jamaica, a couple of months ago. It was the first time I had tried it - I usually go right for the mango and pear she brings - it was delicious, but I couldn't get it off my teeth!

how did you do this ( jaw drops) ... is this a green corset with the yellow and black stitched on or did u piece everything together before putting the panels together ???

@adigurney The green and black were pieced together on individual panels, then I sewed the panels together and draped the gold overtop like an applique. :)
