  • Pneumatic Gnostics possess secret knowledge that could potentially bring down all of the modern Christian churches. This potential was known since the early church fathers and it has provided the justification for Gnostic persecution given by church leaders throughout history. It's rather ironic, that given all the fear and hatred projected against them, Pneumatics regard this information as being worldly, transitory, and unworthy of being pursued. We have better things to do.

  • @gibbletronic yes, maybe we can say the gnostics are The Reason the fundamentalists, of all kinds, have the Freedom to worship as they choose. and they have no desire to "Prove" it, or Convince, or take credit for it.

  • I've been to a neo gnostic church and they don't even carry the nagg hammadi library. They also preach false history about ancient gnostics. Its unbelievable that these new age theosophy churches actually call themselves gnostic.

  • @kmichael212 yes, there are a lot of groups calling themselves gnostic. but the real gnostics are not some "new" thing dug up out of the desert. but they have been hiding among us this whole time.

  • I know Gnostic Christianity varies widely in beliefs, more than Orthodox Christianity.

Stephan Hoeller looks like a Roman Cotholic Bishop that used to persecute the Gnostic Christians. For Gnostic Christians, the church was within, not a building.

  • @astrofrk ...uh gnosticism is passed from teacher to student, as a step by step procedure.

not just a bunch of hippies watching the Davinci code.

  • @SNAFUJAFI "Pneumatic" means "spiritual". Pneuma in greek means spirit, but is most literally "breath, wind". Hence why it is used for the pneumatic drill etc.

  • @VeritasAmantesVocat Sometimes, not always. A teacher is not required, but helps a whole lot.

  • Probably most of you never read Allan Kardec: The Gospel Acording The Spiritism was the Key for the answer you want! Anyway, if Blavatsky said that Threres no are religion bigger than the truth, i thing theres is the time to you gays asking : what is the true? There is exist? If The true exist, where is? Stop to seen around and "Look At Yourself" ..remember: Krishnamurti, Ghandi,Leon Denis, Victor Hugo, Leon Tolstoi,Leadbeater, even Budah, Mohamed,Moses and yes.. Jesus Christ...

  • @VeritasAmantesVocat Within this matrix, to resist a thing either breaks it or makes it grow stronger, so for the organized religions, it is preferable to have fundamentalists rocking the boat rather than to risk Gnostics growing out of control and sinking the ship! This suits us, since we operate best from within conditions of social tolerance and maximum inclusion, and have no use for their transitory status/power/money games.

  • @VeritasAmantesVocat I agree, but only to this point: Gnosticism can be taught, but only to other Pneumatics. I can and do teach the basic principles to anyone who is interested, but there comes a point where too much of the information becomes highly esoteric, and it becomes difficult to explain certain concepts or even translate them to someone who isn't already aware. It can take years or even decades to fully process a Gnosis download, so master/student relationships are rare, but practical.

  • @kmichael212 . I believe you. The world is full of nonsense written about the Gospel of Thomas, for example, which is succour for enlightened souls only. Thus, it can only be understood by anyone who has been touched by God or been genuinely Baptised by the Holy Spirit, as Jesus was. There is no place in any church in the whole world for christs or true gnostics, least of all Christianity as it is today.
