60163 'Tornado' on the Torbay Express - 9th August 2009

Sunday 9th August was to be the last Torbay express run for Peppercorn Class A1 Tornado who has been running the tours so far in the summer season.

We start of at Taunton station on a fantastic sun filled morning and 60163 is seen arriving on time into Taunton station ready for a water stop. After a few static shots of 60163 she then departs Taunton for the run to Whiteball Bank and continues the rest of her journey to the seaside.

Next we see 60163 on her return journey to Bristol at a new location for me Just Outside of the other entrance to Whiteball Tunnel, running 6 minutes early tornado is seen flying underneath us as she runs to Bristol with her last Torbay.
Next week till the end of September is the return of the King to rule the West once again

This will be my last video using my current tripod as on Tuesday 11th i get my new one as its my birthday lol

Nice brisk acceleration away from Taunton. I suppose as an engine spends a few weeks on a particular duty, the crews become familiar with it.
