  • Thanks Vince. I was off in the middle section

  • @purplemic Often players still skip it all together.. but I feel nailing the middle makes the song!

  • @mosybohica Is it any problem if I play the a string with my thumb, the d string with my index, g string with my middle, and the b string with my fourth finger? Will I be just as effective travis picking this way?

  • @FearTheVest If it works for you great... its the notes that are important however there is a benefit to using your 4th finger as a "base" to the guitar. If all 4 fingers are floating above the strings its gets tough to be at the same distance from the strings at all times and you may find you need to always watch what your doing. The 3 finger approach is fairly traditional for that style but keep experimenting... thats how these things got developed in the first place!
