my grandfather santiago quinanahan faught in the philipines under the filipino army then late had to retreat to austrailia because the attack on the filipines was too strong he later joined the american army and faght alongside the austrailians in new guinea battles then later the americans made him ine the 11th airborne where he was injured through that whole time he was given ww1 hand me down weapons from the americans who treated him like a monkey and when they told him to charge he charge an

Unfortunetly, the one time payment pales in comparison to the full benifits offered to other veteran; unfortunetly, the Treaty of Manila (1946) is partially to blame for this. Irregardless, all allied soldiers in the PI fought under USAFFE, so no matter their ethnicity they were American soldiers.

Aw I'm so happy for them and glad finally president Obama recognized their sacrifices and kept some of the promise. I hope they get all of the promise.
