@MMAfighter70 yes modern schools do traditional kung fu schools back in the day Lol didnt but the belt system originally came from traditional karate schools did and taekwondo but since its a great way to keep track of the experience of the student kung fu schools caught on and most if not all schools do to day in every martial art
It's pretty much a North American invention, the various levels of belt colors. Not the case in China and some of the more traditional schools where you either have a red sash or a black sash, and that's student or master, respectively.
