It is surprising how quick Dung Beetle's home in on fresh Elephant dung.

As the beetles rolled their balls away they would stop climb on top to see the direction then start rolling again.

There were many beetles of all sizes rolling balls away to bury, normally with the female riding on the ball ready to lay eggs.

The first beetle featured rolled the ball around in the sand then took it back into the pile, why? I do not know! The female waited for him to do so & because of that I think it was intentional perhaps the dung was to moist?

  • I wish I had known where this dung ball ended up in! do you know if the beetle knew where to take it?
