@sbshorty100 I highly doubt you'll make it to staff sergeant while in college. Because you have to go to WLC to become E-5 and it's hard to find time in college. But if you do it in summer, you can probably be E-5, though making E-6 takes a while.

@CBizzle924 i do have my high school diploma i did graduate high school and i am leaving august 18 to basic in south Carolina to fort jackson my mos in the army is 68 tango and if you dont know what that is its animal care specialist so be quiet

@juniorthesinful You cant enlist in the army to get out of high school. You have to have a high school diploma or GED before you can even consider enlisting. Thanks for lying.

@sbshorty100 It will take you like 8 to 9 years to become a staff sergeant and sergeant first class is at least 10, but more like 14 years. By the time you reach that rank, you will be too old to be an officer. You are already in college, dont waste your time with being enlisted and just go officer. Do ROTC and get a commission. Enlisting is a waste of your time.

@USAForLife2057 Well it is possible. 2 years and a half to make E-5 only if you go in as an E-3 tho. But u'd have to be working ur ass off for it.

I'm going to be a senior in high school in September, i wanted to go to West Point. I fucked up really bad this year in one of my classes, so my average went right down the drain. I'm enlisting on June 15th (my birthday) becuase i want to do this for the rest of my life. it's what i always wanted to do. I'm going to strive for E-5 in two years, I'm hoping to be a team leader by time I'm 20. Good Luck man, the most important thing is to not care what other people say about your decision.

Im joining because i want to get ahead in life. Being an Army soldier is something people look at as a responsible person who knows how to put their priorities in place. Not to mention, they pay for my college - so debt free. Thats a good way to get ahead in life.
