Introducing my new baby lamb!

Know of any good names? Post them in the comments.

Today I spent a few hours at a sheep farm. I learned a lot about sheep and even took home a baby lamb! She's only 6 days old and too cute for words (that's what the video is for!). The little lamb immediately took to Misky, who has always been fantastic with baby animals. In fact, she always gets so excited, she starts whining and doesn't know what to do next. My favorite part is when the lamb laid down next to her and Misky slowly starts to edge away. Haha, I don't think she quite new what to make of it- she's never seen a lamb before!

The darling already seems so attached to me and I feel the same. There's just something heart melting about uncoordinated baby animals and their wobbly knees.

She's a mixed breed adopted from the shelter when she was a puppy. I suspect she's a Golden Retriever mix though, as her littermates were all golden. However, she resembles a Great Pyrenees both in looks and personality. I want to have her DNA tested soon to find out.

She looks like she has some Great Pyrenees in her, beautiful. We are thinking of getting some sheep for our Pyrenees. LOL

She seems like it, but I don't know for sure because I adopted her as a puppy from the shelter. I want to get one of those doggie DNA tests, but I haven't yet. Hopefully soon!

This is incorrect. A dog's fur works like a thermostat to regulate his or her body temperature. It's effective in both extreme cold and extreme hot weather. They do not sweat through their skin as people do and shaving the coat does more harm then good. Shaving not only does it take away their natural insulated barrier, but it leaves the skin exposed the harmful UV rays, which cause skin cancer.

This is SOOOO adorable (and something you don't see every day). A sheep and dog getting along; that's so fancy.

Uhm, there's also some eastern breed in it, although I can't think of one, but the blue spots on her tongue are a dead giveaway for eastern breeds. Which you probably know already, but still :p

Ah...but, their top & under-coat needs to be CLEAN (which your dog's is not) & mat-free in order for it to properly function as God intended. You could decrease the heat your dog feels by having it properly bathed. If you're bathing it at home, it's not workin'.

Coat is separated/dirty. Doesn't *appear* to be matted, just really dirty (which you probably won't be able to properly clean at home). And, if u can't get a metal comb through the coat, it's matted. (15-yr groomer)

    LOVE your vids! :)
