I'm also having problems updating the firmware. I went to the website, downloaded the file, burned it to a CD-R and also tried CD-RW. I made sure I used the ISO9660/Joilet. In both cases, the update did not work and the player said the disk was unsupported. Is there something i'm missing?

kinda late but thanks anyway

Hey guys, I just purchased the BDP5012 model, which is supposedly just the updated form of the 7200 seen here. Any comments or opinions about it? I couldn't find anything negative about it.

@obeyikon You go to the Philips website and burn a disc and then follow the instructions to make a firmware disc. (O:

can u set it up to a surround system?

You bet. You can use your optical cable or use the analog outs. Or if you have an HDMI reciever it works excellent with that. Lots of options for you.

Yep, I have a PS3 as well. Mine was more expensive as I bought it in 2006.
