Jan 2012. Tried some 100+ yards accuracy and penetration tests with the Edgun 25 and Edgun 22. The weather was nice, kids were gone and I was off work, but wind wasnt cooperating, it kept gusting strong on and off messing up the shoot. The heavy 25 pellet did ok but I wasnt happy with the light weight 22 groups. I also shoot some 5/8 and 1/2 plywood and take some shots at a quadrant target and a walking target. Off camera I got a triple double of the pests. 10 chickens/10 egrets/10 mynas.
p.s. (after closer inspection off camera the .22 domed didnt penetrate through the 5/8 plywood, it did penetrate the 1/2 ply and 1 inch pine.)

penetration results:
a) 25 domed- penetrated 1/2 ply, 5/8 ply, and 1 inch pine.
b) 25 predator- flattened out and buried in all three just like its supposed to do.
c) 22 domed- penetrated 1/2 ply and 1 inch pine, but did not pass through 5/8 ply.

  • @ kahanaohana Hello this so great I want to buy one too, but I would like to know if this is the edgun r3 or the older r2?

  • @joop226 its the older 2.5 version.

  • Awesome videos- all of them! I cannot pull out anything resembling a rifle without some discerning remarks/looks by my "neighbors"....anyway if possible could you tell me a couple of things?

First, how long was your wait for these Russian made rifles? And second, can you tell me how to order them? I did see one email address but am wondering if it is still legit.

Thanks for the videos again! They made me subscribe to your channel.

    Mahalo!!!

  • @oahu223 From what i hear its about a 6 month wait. You have to email Tony in Florida to order one, hes the edgun usa rep. Hes a legit honest guy. Or you can try to find a used one on the yellow forum, but that s a long shot.

  • Nice video. I'd like to see more hunting though, and less testing. ;)

  • @jzorns I tried the hunting/filming thing and it wasnt for me, im on the move chasing these chickens and it was too much having to worry about turning on the camera and getting a focus and a good shot. I really give Ted a lot of credit for his hunting videos, its not easy.

  • january 2112;p? IT'S THA FUTURE!

  • nice video mate...

    Regards!

  • impreesive video. That is some great shooting in that wind. I was really impressed by the penetration test.. Shooting location, what can I say, I'm jealous.

  • the video was very good. but I think that, if the weather is wind, the important is weigth of the pellets. the caliber is never important for this weather. the caliber is important just for huntting. I want to test diffirent calibers but the pellets has got same grains . if you test that , you will see that I am rigth(true) :D

  • AMAZING ... AIR GUN ?? waooo
