26" Kick Bass Drum Test

Playing with a new 26" kick I got. Yamaha Rock Tour Custom (early 90's) 26x14, Floor Tom is 18x18" same series. Cool series of kits Yamaha made with the resin sheath on the outside of the shell.

the only thing i can think of is that its gonna cost a pretty penny for a good kick drum case lol

@vjrockinyourworld No doubt!!! I haven't even bothered looking because of that! Wraps are tanks though, and mostly that drum gets used in recording situations.

They have been refinished and have the tour custom hardware on them. As to the kick drum, maybe was a custom order, because it has the outer resin layer and that's the only series Yamaha made like that. The shell construction matches the other drums and it's serial number comes up as the series.

Also rock tour customs did not come in 14" deep bass drums. 16" and 18" (only).

I hate to tell you. But those are not yamaha rock tour custom drums. I know because I collect them. For one thing rock tour customs have high tension lugs.
