  • Hey Kiwibob... I built this boat.... You missed one thing out... the UK class rules are different from the Aussie ones of course, but the thing that links them is the openness of the rules... 12ft long, a max beam, minimum weight and a maximum sail area... It is actually more akin to a modern 14 than any cherub that went before it... and it is not a lot like a 12ft skiff really (apart from underwater section) for a start it only needs one rig!

  • Talk about taking what John Spencer originally came up with as a class concept and sticking a knife right in it's heart!

    This thing has more in common with a 12 foot skiff than what Cherubs rightfully were when I raced one back in the late 80's, about the only thing relating it to an original cherub is the lenght and class emblem.

  • can u race this as a 12ft skiff? would love to compare them
