How is she doing? They're very fine dogs. I love the idea of having an akita, but I also have a lot of cats and a small terrier mix. I'm worried that they wouldn't play nice together, so I'm thinking of getting a boerboel instead. I had a chow, once, that attacked one of my cats. I found another home for her with a friend. It's not a dog I'd recommend to anyone as a first dog, but, then again, I feel the same about the akita. Still, a damn fine dog.
