This is my Gravely 5200 with a cultivator attachment using to till some newly cut grass into compost. Look at the steam coming from the compost. It really heats up.
umm... who cares!? they're fantastic machines and worth the fix! - plus you will never accomplish the thorough cultivated state of that ground hes workin right there BY hand - EVER

How incredibly inefficient this machine is! Surely the essence of composting is to put as little energy into the process as necessary. This machine used an incredible amount of fossil energy in its manufacture and will need lots more fossil energy to continue to run it. The user in this video could have achieved the same amount of mixing in the same time using a hand fork. How long will it be before the machine breaks down and needs an expensive mechanic and expensive parts to repair it?
My remark was to the guy that said this was inefficient!! I love old Gravelys, I have 3 of them.
