I assume this would make a good wash to wash out any cuts or scraps before you bandage them? Also maybe make a sort of thick paste with the dried powder to apply to a bad cut to inhibit infection? I'm just started out on all this survival stuff and so trying to learn as much as possible. I spent my whole life 50+ yrs roaming the woods and forests but never thought about surviving in them. I want to Thank You for all these very helpful video. Your video’s/teachings may save many lives one day.

@wildernessoutfitters What happens to the white oak when you cut off some of that bark? Does it simply scar the tree? Also for staying in an area more long term would it be wise to use a different tree each time you needed that inner bark so the tree can heal?
