Air brakes don't always work after that kind of situation! It's actually called caging the brakes. U put the cage between the axle tires an it spreads open locking the wheels in place. I drive Tow Truck here in california. In this situation it was the tow truck drivers fault. He is responsible for making sure the truck can't roll when the tires hit the ground! Hahahahahahahaha dumb ass tow truck driver! That's what u get for not thinking!

When they are stupid and unable to open a wheels (those that lie on the ground) so that this turns out. I am a firefighter and these interventions have too much and always is said first to establish a wheels or something to tie.

@Xiber1 LESS POLLUTION???? How do you figure that, considering they both use diesle engines but the engine in the train is about 5 times bigger??? you should also consider the fact that diesle produce NO greenhouse gasses so what pollution are you worried about to begin with?

Actually, you pull the two knobs on the dash of the truck and it releases the air from the system-causing the brakes on the truck and trailer to lock.
You can also pull the red airline going from the tractor to the trailer-releasing the air in the trailer brakes and locking down the trailer. The guy in the wrecker is a serious bonehead,he has the same knobs on his own dash.
