you want to weather that?

Was curious what did they use to make the rail look like jointed rail? the rail joints? who makes em?

Great layout! For those not liking the radio broadcast, just turn the sound off!

In fact, Ross made two high-quality CDs with 1950s music and a retired radio personality announcing. One has popular music and the second has country music. I installed a CD player in a period radio case and played one of these "programs" in the crew lounge during each operating session.

A great video and some VERY nice trains! I agree with most people saying that the radio broadcast was distracting. Maybe some music from the 'VIRGINIAN' era might have been suitable? Just a thought, but overall a great video! Thanks for sharing this with us! Thumbs up!

Great Layout! I found the radio broadcast to be distracting and annoying.

jeeez these models are truly beautiful

that is a cool layout---i know the VGN used a lot of huge articulated steam locomotives and some of them were strictly monsters!!! Just imagine if the VGN existed today--GE Dash 9-40C's, AC4400's and AC6000's!!!! Have to throw in a few SD-90MACS and SD-70MAC's too.
Fantastic layout - I've followed the progress on the webpage for some time. The radio broadcast is interesting, but personally I found it distracting when trying to enjoy the trains themselves. Otherwise, very smooth trackwork and train motion. Looking forward to the next layout in the round house.

The radio broadcast is a recreation. I used it to cover the random conversation going on in the room during the operating session. The conversation is even more distracting.
