International conspiracy possibly due to extraterestrial influence and the antichrist; to insure that Paul McCartney's Ram album is consistently ignored as the greatest post Beatles LP ever.

  • Dear Mad, Or may I call you Hat? You are completely wrong. George Harrington had a bunch of great songs he was sitting on because Paul, and John were the cash cow for EMI. So the "running" I just don't see at all. You could actually cobble together a decent Beatles album ala the "White Album" from all the 1971 releases, and "RINGO". Photograph another Harrisong Brilliant. I love you but you are wrong and I am right in everything I say!!! Because I am the sole voice of what is right... :P :)

  • hi, nice video but i don't understand which part of this was supposed to offend, or blow my mind. I was hoping for a nutty conspiracy theory. I agree though that RAM is a very under rated album. Maybe it was supposed to blow my mind how it can take someone 9 minutes 54 seconds to express that opinion?

  • @leoleoleoleo A loser says what?

  • This was incredibly stupid.

  • @marvy1118 You are incredibly stupid for watching it and then commenting on it. Your flame was weak. You must be a girl. or not very bright. You could look up a really good flame and save it then paste it into this and you would sound smart. I would say: "Your video lacked any sort of coherent thought. McCartney is so dated and irrelevant. You should listen to" (insert what you think would not be stupid here). "Your sense of humor is non detectible".(See that would be subtle but insulting)

  • The mix of the album is also a reason why I think it is one of the best in the day...

  • @skyprop Props to you!! I agree. Hard to believe it was recorded at the Record plant in New York~! There is such consistency in Paul's and the Beatles recordings.

  • Dude you look like your in some industrial band (not an insult or a joke. You look like you could of fit in the 80's wax trax scene near perfectly (ministry, skinny puppy,revco,etc....). Ok i made enough comments on this page, sorry for blowing your comment section up (i forgot i left a comment 2 months ago)

  • How Ram holds up with me:

-Ram is my favorite album of the 70's

-Ram is by far the best beatles related album (and just incase i didn't say that right, that includes all the beatles albums)

-Ram is the most sonically inclined album i ever heard

-Ram is included in my top 20 fav albums of all time

-Ram and Paul in general is probably responsible for inspiring my fav bands like phish,ween,etc...

P.S.If anybody wants to tell me how Ram holds up in their book i would be happy to hear it :-)

  • Dude, the album was incredibly different and ahead of its time THATS why it was panned. Plus people wanted lennon's depressing, egotistical, and hyprocritical shit instead. Its funny the only lennon solo album i like is the one where he tries to mimick paul and thats only a 3 star affair (W&B). I wish more people knew how sonically inclined this album is, the use of vocals as instruments, the pure atmospheric playing w/more then a touch of the organic and etc...... etc....

  • Worth noting is that Ram was crafted so slickly, in part, in response to the underwhelming critical response to the stripped-down sound of McCartney.

The "ram on" thing, I think, is a metaphor for persistence, work, carrying on.

Thanks for the video--you were not as succinct as you might have been, and I slightly prefer Band on the Run and Plastic Ono Band, but I agree Ram is definitely one of the finest solo Beatles albums.

  • my favorite paul album for sure.

  • Best album of the 70's = Yes Indeed (honorable mentions in the classic rock/pop genre of the 70's...........Elton John - Captain Fantastic, Genesis - Trick of the Tail, Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here (Fuck Darkside, that overated decent at best album. AN Album of Textures ewwwwww, Ram is sonically better then Darkside in everyway).

Best Album of All Time = No (best beatles related album though,by far)

Top 20 album of All Time= Yes (but barely)

Worthless comments by me = Yes (who cares)

  • I agree with you. Ram has always been on of my favorites. Underrated unfairly

  • The early post-Beatles Beatles are awesome. It's like they all shot out in four different directions and tried to run away from each other as fast as their legs could carry them. But eventually, they got tired ('bout 1973 or so). "Ram" from Paul and "All Things Must Pass" from George are my two favorite ex-Beatle albums with "McCartney" next in line.
