@qwerty8159 Yes! John doesn't say much, but apparently that Robbie business compelled him to speak! Funny, you never heard another word about Robbie becoming Queen's new "lead singer" after John made those public comments.

One of my all time favorite Queen songs - especially when performed live. Their best live performance of this in my opinion was Live at the Bowl. John Deacon retired and had every right to do so I think. He never really planned on playing in a band for 20 years (when he joined he thought it might last 5 years or so), but did so because of the ongoing success they enjoyed and also because of his love and admiration for Freddie. When Freddie died, part of John died with him and that was it.

2 bad he quit. i loved how he stood up for freddy when people were speccualating robbie williams to be the new lead singer of queen. he wrote alot of their best songs
