  • i belive its solid koa.

  • no difference with the worth brand, just a choice of color I think. The nylguts might be a better first choice though I cant tell whether your instrument is made from solid woods or a laminate of koa

  • i ment brownish-dark. sorry.

  • btw, the ukulele is a soprano. whats the differance betwwen the clear ones vs the bronish-dark ones?

  • Aquila nylgut would sweeten things up nicely, they have a different feel to the Fluorocarbon worths which have a higher tension(great for getting more volume)

  • its an Ibanez Ukulele UKS50 (please look it up to see it) its hawaiian koa back, sides, top, mahogany neck, and albalone fretboard/finger board. it has mother of pearl binging and MOP rosette. its about 200 dollars. made in japan, but all the woods and such are from hawaii. please do look it up thogh, it may help you a little.

  • What uke are you playing? the stringing can improve what you have, but a Hawiian Koa wood instrument is probably what you are looking for.

  • will d'addario give me a hawaiian sound?
