Not exactly. It's only legal in certain counties in Nevada. Not Nevada as a whole. However, these counties have proven that if you legalize it and regulate it, it can work. Every prostitute is held to constant physicals and required to carry a card and paperwork that they're cleared to "work" and clear of any STD's. No pass, no work.

I wish she would have gotten into the reasons that making prostitution legal is actually safer for the women involved and how abusive pimps and streethookers actually comprises less than 5% of all prostitution that currently goes on. The police targeting Johns for embarrassment merely chases away the "good" Johns who care about their reputations, leaving the abusive monsters to further abuse more disenfranchised street hookers.
