  • this might sound like a sillie question from all you pros, but i was wondering what is the difference between the Canon 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II Auto focus lens and Canon 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS EF-S. I noticed the name difference at the end, one is IS II and the other is IS EF-S, is there a difference in quality, is one any better then the other etc....

  • @joliemodel No noticeable difference. The II lens is second generation so will probably have a slightly updated internal infrastructure. Nothing an amateur photographer would notice.

  • @joethetechiewiipsp thanks so much for taking the time to reply, appreciate it

  • @joliemodel No problem at all! Thanks for watching!

  • Was this actually WORTH the money? I'm looking for my first DSLR.

  • @JohnnyBabe100 I believe it's worth the money, yes.

  • @MsRHAwesome Haha....What is a 10 memory card, sorry I'm new to this stuff!

  • @iliketolickbackpacks I had the same problem until I discovered that you need a type 10 memory card or higher to shoot long videos. also I was told it's preferable if it was used for videos only. But I know someone that shoots videos and pictures and has no real problem.

  • So whenever I try and record on my canon rebel t3i, it automatically stops recording even if I only video tape for 30 seconds or less, and its not a memory problem? It is an sd card format card problem? If so how do I format it I just got it and am not sure how to use it.

  • Cannon t3i or Nikon d5000 ?

  • @JohnnyBabe100 totally worth it! It's my first ever DSLR and I love it :) I use both mode a lot (photography + video mode). I even bought an extra lens to work with the camera :P

  • @natemarauder8 thanks so much...that makes since. Thanks for taking the time to answer, greatly appreciated

  • i have the t3i with a fisheye, i love it

  • @joliemodel ive heard the reason canon came out with the IS II is because people were complaining that the auto focus was too loud in video mode, so they made it less noticeable.
