Haunted Ohio The Canals & Locks

We recently took a stroll down the Ohio & Erie canal. As we walked the tow path we were listening to the stories of the ghosts that haunt this historical place. The town is Canal Fulton, Ohio and it sits right along side the once great Ohio & Erie Canal. Many young men died bulding and running the canal. It is said lock 4 is haunted by an angry ghost of the lock keeper. Voice are often heard a long the towpaths at night, the moans and screams of the dead. It is a very scary place to be at night, with no lights....

The story of the killer lock keeper is not true! But the dead people all along the canal that dug it is true. for every mile of canal there IS a Irish man buried. That is historically accurate.

I live in Canal Fulton actually about a five minute from the Lock, and the stories of the place are passed down like clothes to younger siblings around here. You guys got the story dead on. If you sit outside the cabin at night around three A.M. you will occasionally hear what sounds like muffled screaming. It's quite creepy.
