West Virginia Hills by Jeff Ellis

Jeff Ellis' song "West Virginia Hills" discusses how as youth many of us can't wait to get out of West Virginia. National media always tells us how great everywhere else is and how bad we have it. I left West Virginia many times in search for adventure and fortune, but no matter how sweet the paradise I found my heart yearned to go back home to those West Virginia hills. This is just a short video of the land the natives love so much. We simply wouldn't trade our natural beauty and blue collar heritage for anything.

This video is AWESOME!! Love that you included Cathedral Falls in Gauley Bridge! My daddy was born & raised there! I stop there everytime we go thru to take pictures of those falls. A very beautiful video of the most beautiful state God made!

Thank you for making this video. I'm from southern West Virginia and am currently living in Tokyo, Japan. Today, I was feeling extremely homesick and your video helped to make me feel better. I love Japan, but I can honestly say that there is nothing better than the view from the top of our mountains or feeling of love that comes from our communities.
