TOPIC: Abortion and incest

COURIC: If a fifteen year old is raped by her father, you believe it should be illegal for her to get an abortion. Why?

PALIN: I am pro-life and I am unapologetic . . . I would counsel to choose life. I would like to see a culture of life in this country . . .

COURIC: But, ideally, you think it should be illegal for a girl who is raped or a victim of incest to get an abortion.

PALIN: Im saying that personally, I would counsel that person to choose life despite horrific, horrific circumstances . . . if youre asking . . . should anybody end up in jail for having had an abortion. Absolutely not . . .

Pro life is a terrible term for you to use, you horrid excuse for a woman. You are NOT pro life, you are ANTI choice. As stated by claireeeeXX, so many things could happen that will kill the child anyway, and the carrier could die anyway. So basically, your opinion means that you are willing to quite literally denying someone the right to live by saving an unborn child, who doesnt have so much as its own name.

I have a client that had to give birth to her fathers child. She is attempting to raise the child, because she could not give up a baby after 9 months. Luckily the father of them both is no longer in the home. Disastrous and heartbreaking.,

Not addressed here is the fact that this kind of incestuous birth often leads to genetic lifelong problems for the child. The child has serious cognitive and emotional disorders and is violent.

I hope everyone is happy with the new POTUS. He has no problem with fetal extermination. Check the facts on his support to finance worldwide abortions with tax dollars and his position on partial-birth abortion. You jumped the bandwagon cutting down any Republican with enough guts to share their beliefs to avoid anyone thinking they were hiding things in the future. Obama spoke out of many sides of his face and they were all lies. Good luck and enjoy the next four years, if we survive.

Where do you people come off condemning Palin for her beliefs. She said she would choose life, not that she would force the US to choose life. How many of you are so out of touch that you think Congress would pass a bill to force carrying rape or incest caused pregnancy to term. I choose life too, but I allow you the right to look in your heart and choose for yourself.

it is obvious by your trite answer that you have no concept of the enormity of this type of trauma and the complications that would result for both parties if a rape victim was forced to give birth against her will. rape victims have been subjected to a horrendous violation that takes a lifetime to heal from let alone having their bodies stripped from them again for 9 months. many women would kill themselves over such indignation
