  • I'd also like to say that it's quite funny how everyone's supporting this... I think a lot of gay people would be offended at the support that this idea is getting. This is the, so to speak, "solution" that homophobic people would want; a gay person marrying the opposite sex. How can anyone who supports homosexuals possibly support this- the outcome of fear and persecution?

  • Umm.. if a gay guy marries a straight woman then that's not different than two straight guys or two straight women marrying eachother. And that doesn't really happen :S So.. gay guys who do this, in my opinion, are just really insexure and should love themselves more. To go so far as being married to someone that you can not possibly be sexually attracted to... it doesn't make sense. It's just, living in fear.. it's throwing yourself right into the conformity that you should be against.

  • This is the fault of society. Society says gay is wrong so people will do whatever they can not to be seen as gay, so they can be a human and fit in. Also if a man is having sex with a woman, straight up, hes bi.

  • No that's not true if a gay decides to marry a woman he chose didn't noboby make him to that he's a grown making an adult if he knew he was gay he shouldn't be playing with a womans heart.

  • Gay men who marry straight women are enormously selfish.

  • Joe Kort is taking the principle and honor code of therapists to the greatest degree & that is to completely respect couples decisions and help them within the framework of those decisions. Most of these mixed orientation marriages don't work. They are often extremely difficult but they can work because they have (due to societies demands) for thousands of years. They are not the Ideal and there is a heavy price to pay especially now that LGBT people can be far more free than ever before.

  • oooo god ,like this is something new!?

  • I connected with another gay man over the internet on a dating site, who like me is a gay father, though unlike me, is still living with his wife. While his relationship with wife was non-sexual, after 2 years of embracing him AND family I ended it.Many times I said"You want your cake and eat it too." I realized I was enabling all parties, nothing would change, and my love couldn't flourish. Ultimately it was disrespectful to his wife. So glad I finally DID THE RIGHT THING.

  • wow. that is very new to me. gay spouses who marry their best friend who is straight. never heard of that before.

it sounds a little weird to me. but as long as it works out for them =]
