Too bad ice dancing was not in the Olypmpics yet , at that time. Watching their routing, it could have easily been adpated to ice dancing, and looking at the moves, they would have certainly won a medal, if that had ever been adapted to ice dancing. So of the lifts in the routine are incredible. Under the Code Of Points (COP) system, the scores would have likely been off the charts, if something like th at were adapted to ice dancing.
This music is a traditional Haitian folk song that called Ti'zwazso "little bird". Harry Belafonte made the original English version "yellow bird". I love this song. It reminded me of my childhood.
Hi, CKP. Wunnerful, um, wunnerful. I always felt Lawrence Welk was under-rated and many times under-appreciated. I've recorded many, many of his shows so I could retain the lyrics and arrangements of his legacy versions. I also recently uploaded my version of "Yellow Bird" (guitar multi-track). Love to have you comment and rate. Have you ever heard Clay Hart perform "Jean" on his show? Beautifully done. Cordially, John

I thought that was a vibraphone, not an organ...

It was a great show...especially during the time period this was filmed.
I can hear Jerry Burke at the Hammond in this clip. He really knew how to make a Hammond organ sound SWEET!
