MONITOR INTERNAL TEMP!!!! The times are just guidelines and are affected by starting temp and oven variances!!!!

It's time to make the Roast Beast. This is a great meal for Christmas, New Years or just about any time. It's easy enough for a dad or anyone to make and much better than making a ham. ... and yes I know, I can't say horse radish to save my life!!!

Here's one of my first TV appearances making it on KMSP Channel 9.

  • oh and my meat was not as red as yours. I questioned the butcher abut this and he said that its because of the refridge they use and it's fine. idk. he advised me to ckean seasln then leave in fridge not freezer ad take out and leave at room temp for an hour before cooking. please help.

  • @Winteel You want ti to be red, rats, not sure what to do there. I'd take the roast out, depending on it's size 2 to 3 hours before cooking. take a pic and send it to me. Good luck

  • first time buying a prince rib and it cost me $ 70! how much should a orime rib be per lb? I went to meat market expecting to so end $30. I cut my meat in had and out in freezer bag. I want to cook the other half for valentines r Easter. good our bad idea? please help. first timer. I wanted to surprise my small family with something different for new years

  • @Winteel Sometimes I've seen it as low as $4 a pound, but normally it's closer to $8 or $9. I'm not a big fan of freezing meat does too much damage.. It's really hard to get your roast up to just room temp normally (which you should do) much less if it's freezing. It's a great dish to serve, your family will love you. Just be sure to watch the internal temp. Take it out at 120.

  • one normal spoonful of horse radish? lol WTF is a normals spoon? There are 2 kinds of normal spoons. One is called a teaspoon the other a tablespoon.

  • @KillinDaWelfareMCs Grab a spoonful from your silverware drawer and get a scoop of horseradish with it. watch the video.

  • @KillinDaWelfareMCs It dosen't matter what size....Just equil portions.....actually portions don't really matter....I put more horseraddish than he recomends....

  • @tmc300 I haven't had much luck with the microwave, it tends to make the meat tough, put it in foil and heat at 300 until warm. Makes great sandwiches.

  • @TheJDub1228 there's always next year. I'd actually advice 117, but who's counting.

  • taking the roast out at 120 is perfect. I followed the directions of another video on youtube that said to take it out at 130. I was pretty much serving beef jerkey to my guests. Wish I followed your video instead
