This is the 4th song on my latest album "The New'. The main guitar riff was something I had been working with for quite some time, and I eventually came up with the other parts and lyrics very quickly when I decided to use the riff on the album. The song for me is about the world.. people.. society.. and the way we are blind to much of reality. Its a sort of cynical accusatory description of how we can treat each other and the planet.. that we are all red-handed fools at some points in our lives.. believing only what others have told us and our own deluded opinions.. afraid of one another and our selves all the same, while struggling to find happiness and truth within it all.

Far across a land of steel and windows
Deep beneath a warm and cloudy dome
Countless voices sit and cry about which way the wind blows
And walk through fire to save their own

Who will guide them now
They must keep awake somehow

Their crimson fool reflections keep fear away
To where only a glance can remain
With soft eyes they wince through the cold
And in dark times they wait to grow old

But they move with their hands against the wall
Forgetting each and every tie they've broken
