Lunar Aurora - Zorn Aus Äeonen ..

Atmospheric Black Metal band from Germany (Rosenheim).
Formed in 1994 with no label, they worked
later with more than 5 labels, until
Whyrhd created Cold Dimensions, Lunar Aurora's own label. Benjamin König (Aran) is the owner of Sperber-Illustrationen, (digital disigns for bands logos and such things), he formed the project Trist (Germany).

The band went on a lengthy hiatus from 2006 through half of 2011. There were no interviews, concerts, or any other statements given, nor as any explanation made as to the reason.

The exclusive song "Der Wanderer Des Feuermondes" can be found on the "Nachtzauber" compilation released by the German Mørkeskye Magazine.

The exclusive song "Der Leere Thron" can be found on the "Wurzelgeister" compilation released by Ketzer Records.

All the releases in 2004 had been recorded much earlier, but delayed heavily.
This was mainly caused by both of the labels the band had been working with at the time (Kettenhund Records and Ars Metalli) going down. After a short-lived and unpleasant deal with "The Oath" from Italy, Lunar Aurora ended up founding their own label Cold Dimensions.

Another interesting development in that period was all of the members switching their main instrumental duties: Aran from guitar to drums, Whyrhd from bass to guitar, and Sindar from keyboard to bass. Aran went back to guitar when drummer Profanatitas was found.

Aran and Whyrhd, then Sindar (Aran's younger brother) joined.

Ex-Members:
Narg (Funebris), Nathaniel (Mortuus Infradaemoni), Klepper (Pequod), Profanatitas (Mortuus Infradaemoni, Mortuary Temple), Malphas (Amystery), Biil, Akhorahil (Thorngoth), Skoarth (Odem Arcanum, Somber Serenity).

2 Demos, 2 Splits (with Paysage d'hiver and Secrets of the Moon), 2 songs released in compilations and 8 Full-length albums were released until the members decided to create their own projects on 2007...

Each of their albums has its own personality..
Elixir of Sorrow is conformed by 5 instrumentals and 5 excelent songs (4 bonus included on a special edition re-release).

ich finde es ehrlich gesagt ganz positiv. Wenn ich auf eine Band aufmerksam werde (was meißt durch den bandnamen, albumtitel oder cover passiert) guck ich als erstes youtube nach songs, wenns da nix gibt dann myspace. wenn mir eine band auch wirlich gefällt kauf ich auch die platten. Meine cd sammlung is mitlerweiel bei ca 300 (für manche mag das wenig sein ich weiß), is halt en hobby cds zu sammeln. Aber ich mein vorm kauf muss man halt reinhörn, un im cd laden gibts bm eher selten^^

well, the problem persists if people keep uploading mp3-s with a shite bitrate (96 or even lower - cd quality is around 256), and in case they don't do it deliberately, some programs might be the cause of a shite conversion.
