  • And thus the music of the night was born !

  • @schwarzfalk @thephantom1946 I agree with both of you.

Michael Crawford is one of the best stunt men in the history of british tv and has been compared to the likes of Buster Keaton and Harold Lloyd. Jackie Chan has said that he was inspired by Michael Crawford and has even paid homage to him by recreating his famous stunt where he is pulled along behind a bus while on roller skates!

  • the last 2 stuff he said made no sense at-all

  • @thephantom1946 alrite, I just realized that Crawford was a bit older when the Phantom era came around 'like at least 10 years older) so it has to be said that maybe he'd "matured" somewhat in the mean time

I wonder if he could've played the Phantom back at the time when he was also playing Frank Spencer

  • @schwarzfalk Even his peers in the entertainment world didn't realize Crawford could pull that off! But no one knew he could sing like that either. I guess you could say uber talented too. A legend in his own time.

  • @thephantom1946 yup I AGREE!

in fact I first knew Michael Crawford as Frank Spencer in that sitcom (that series was already old back then) and I already took a huge liking to him back then, but I couldn't believe it was the same bloke who so masterfully played a character as confident & uber-charismatic as the Phantom of the Opera himself!! :)

  • I've only seen a few episodes (including this one) but it's scenes like this that are always the best. Even though Frank's a complete idiot, he's still incredibly sweet to Jessica. I really hope the father of my children will be as sweet as him. Not that I'm having kids anytime soon!

  • they dont make comedy like this any more frank spencer ken dodd morcame and wize only fools and horses onefoot in the grave keeping up aperancess they dont make them like all those any more

there will never be another comdey lik frank spence and all the other

this is true comedy so please michael crawford got the part of frank

(the dog just gave a frightant pants he thort it was an elephant) that is the funnies line in the scene godbless frank xx

  • I agree parrotguy1999. After all the things that went wrong, people that couldn't stand him and every job he lost, he always remained a true optimist that kept on smiling no matter what and he never had any hate in his heart. A great character in a great show that even up to this day puts a smile on my face... ; D

  • If incompetence and disaster were all Frank was, it would just be annoying. But you always sympathised with him, because he so utterly adored his wife and child. At heart he was a good and kind man.

  • i want this sung to me!

a cherishd lullaby that will carry on through my generation!
