Apple memory is WAY too expensive...100 bucks to go from 1gb to 2?!?!
nowadays, you can get 4GB ram for a hundred dollars!

Can I use for my upgrade Kingston 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 1066MHz SO Dimm Memory For Apple iMac, 2007 Model, instead 1Gb (512x512)DDR2 SDRAM Speed: 667 MHz (my one).

does name brand matter? and can you mix memory sizes like a 2gb and then a 4gb?

No, no you can not. Apple OSX is a very hard operating system to link with hardware, its very spec specific. Hence why creating a Hackintosh is so difficult yo build.

It sound too easy... Is that a difference about to use an ddr2 or ddr3 ram? Can I use either one or the other?

I realize that (3 years ago), I can see the upload date. It was still $120 back in 2007 when I bought my RAM for my Mac back then. You still got ripped off.
