Barring a last-minute return to the bargaining table, AFSCME members at the University of Minnesota will walk off the job Wednesday at campuses in the Twin Cities, Duluth, Morris, Crookston and Rochester.
why should wages rise? many of their jobs are automated and hence, the demand for clerical services is nowhere near where it once was. if you want to find the "living wage" you seek, you will need to either retool your skill set, or you can start your own business by finding a nitche service you can provide. but at least recognize why your wage increase is not there... this is simply governed by dynamic economics.
