Dying for the World is the tenth album by W.A.S.P., released in 2002 (see 2002 in music).

"Dying For The World" was Blackie Lawless' dedication to all those who perished in the attacks of the 9/11 events, especially heard on the 'Hallowed Ground' track.

The album was written and recorded in less than 12 months. This is very unusual as Blackie Lawless is a perfectionist, normally taking 2 years or more to finish an album and have it recorded.

Blackie Lawless - Guitar, Vocals, Keyboards
Darrell Roberts - Lead Guitar
Mike Duda - Bass, Vocals
Frankie Banali - Drums

  • The first time I watched this video today... it gave me chills. I knew the lyrics before hand. Knew the certain subjects that Blackie was piling into these two songs. But it's never before been SO, "IN MY FACE~!" like that before. Khudos. AMAZING video. Seriously.

  • What a track,it shivers my skin....!

  • perfect

  • There's a thousand voices in my head Long ago Come inside, see yourself tonight Let me in, floating on the wind Oh, I don't know The sound your hear Are silent in the night God I'm dying on a trail of tears Where tomorrow never knows A resurrection closer to a Light I've never known Play the game existence to the Living end I go Take me down to the trail of tears Where tomorrow never knows
  • The lost road of destiny I ride away home Head to lay on velvet nails tonight And will I lay Me down to close my eyes Oh, I don't know Spirit wind with broken wings to fly God I'm dying on a trail of tears Where tomorrow never knows A resurrection closer to a Light I've never known Play the game existence to the Living end I go Take me down to the trail of tears Where tomorrow never knows
