On Friday, July 24, 2009, the City of Omaha began painting bike lanes on North 16th Street as part of the 20 mile bike route loop around downtwon and midtown during a street resurfacing project. The resurfacing isn't quite done, and there aren't any signs up yet indicating to cyclists and motorists to "share the road", but so far traffic seems to be moving along nicely.

It's nice that they have painted a car door buffer zone. Very considerate!
