Thats what you do in any game of cricket. Win or lose. Big woopee. He has to do that and it does not make him a really great guy. The selectors got it wrong when they appointed Ponting as captain. Top batsman yes. Captain No.

I don't know why so much garbage about Ricky Ponting, nobody can dispute the fact that he's a great player and decent chap, I'm English and I like him, great we won two ashes series with a bit of a major blip in between , but RP made a huge contribution along with many others..............cricket is a great game with people like him around...........Shame about the VB badge though, that beer sucks !! Give me a good pint of Fosters anyday

As an English cricket supporter myself, I personally feel that some of the stick Ponting took from our fans was really unfair. He was always a true gentleman and a perfectly fair player, he is also the greatest batsmen of his generation and one of the greatest of all time in my opinion.
