I completely agree, Its time for the belief in a personal god to go. However, there is and there will always be an unknown aspect to existence. Maybe we need a new myth to deal with this. One that can coexist with Phyics but can deal with those problems that physics has to be silent about ie ultimate meaning. Because science can't deal with absolute knowledge we need some kind of faith in the unknown. Comfort in not knowing.
