Sunny travels from Bangkok to Songkhla Province to visit Wissy in her hometown. The first part of the reunion is very exciting, but poor weather soon dampens Sunny's plans and her mood.

Yes you do look good. I hope you weren't disappointed with your trip to Hat Yai because of the rain. I stayed in Songkhla City and Hat Yai for extended periods of time and found the area to be full of wonderful places to see...and things to do ...that included the Cabaret shows.

@mickmikle Thanks for your kind words! Can you recommend a good hotel in Songkhla? I plan to visit again in February -- and the hotels down there are hard to find on the web.

@trusunlight Although I haven't been there in a few years I still have some contacts so I'll ask them about hotels. Are you going to Songkhla city or will you be staying in Hat Yai?

@mickmikle I'd like to stay in Songkhla city since it's where Wissy actually lives. It's also said to be very historic and charming. I didn't get to see it last year because of that dreadful rain!

@KrystalTowers The moto taxi drivers are everywhere and the big green buses run regularly from Hat Yai into Songkhla. In town there are a few hotels and some guest houses. I read that the Big Hotel BP Samila is under renovation. The location is right on the beach. Just looking at the info brings back many fond memories. More later

@KrystalTowers I lived near Green World Hotel for awhile and ventured in a few times. It's a nice hotel and it has a swimming pool on the 5th floor. It is a bit away from the center of town but the whole city is VERY interesting to see and learn about and it's just a couple minutes ride by Songteow or motorbike to downtown.
