Hang gliding and paragliding tips and techniques: Finding thermals: Cross Country magazine's Bob Drury looks a glide ahead and explains how to assess the potential of thermal sources using the 5 star system.
If you love hang gliding or paragliding then Cross Country magazine is for you. It's the world's leading magazine covering paragliding and hang gliding and is read in over 75 countries around the world. In print it's available exclusively by subscription through www.xcshop.com/subs, or you can read it cover to cover online through www.zinio.com or through the Zinio app on your iPad.
How about an easy "aide memoire". I had a crack at your 5-star system: the best I could come up with was
S(un), W(ind), L(and) + cb = swell cloud buddies (or rather SWL - CB)
Any better suggestions?
