Nicely done but I still prefer the Kirsty MacColl original. It just sounds more genuinely like a woman defending her right to a relationship that other people ("they") view negatively. I don't feel it's ultimately a particularly uplifting song and when I hear Kirsty's original I always imagine that "they" probably do have the right idea about the relationship.
