to me it looks like a pitch more than a chip. How do you pitch the ball? I've learned that chipping requires not hinging and a lot shorter "backswing" almost like when using a putter
I would love some tips on hitting in spots next to trees, shrubs, on basically sketchy but not OB lies (next to pant stems, or when the ball is on a downhill lie, but you need to loft the ball uphill without the mickelson backwards shot in the bag). Where you have to take short swings due to limited room, or even just sort of do a punch shot with a 5 iron. Those shots add 10 strokes to my game on some days.
