@ThisHasBeenAlex Nazi Germany was an important milestone in the jewish history, 2000 yrs before the holocaust israel was a wasteland, 3 yrs after the holocaust it was a country, winning great wars. It symbolizes the price we pay for choosing the comfort of the exile over israel. The exile is tempting to us, but we shouldn't be there and so every time jews will be in the exile some disaster will bring them back to israel. @ThisHasBeenAlex It comes to show that terror can happen anywhere, and the they're not safer in usa than in israel. The chase after the golden calf and the comfort of the material will lead to germany in the 40's. Being expelled from israel and banished to the exile was a punishment, but somehow over the years it became a good thing. The jews' only nation is israel and in anywhere else they are guests, until god will make them want to come back to israel - how? not in easy ways.
