  • Pound for pound the best 105kg+. If he gained some weight he could of easily broken the Snatch and Clean & Jerk WRs.

  • the simple of perfection

  • Chigishev is my homeboy.

  • wow were you there yea?!

  • no, he catches a smig to high and he likes to sit in the snatch.

  • i just realized the angle of this video is not good

  • lem is the fact he doesnt drive right away after receiving the bar?

  • his positive lifting abilities: high level of leg strength, immense speed and strong upper body to receive the bar

however yes he would be more efficient if could stay in roughly the same place and utilise his speed more, however i think its a little late in the day for him to re-learn his technique, especailly since it has got him to 211 (though i would need to see a video of that lift in doha in a comparison sense to make a better judgment of his technique development) perhaps the biggest prob

  • yeh i see your point, but as i favour strong legs too its perfection for me :) but yeh there is a lot of debate about jumping backwards, we could look at it like this: he has the ability to pull the bar with such power that it results in a slightly behind bar path, which means he has to jump backwards to catch it, however he is immensly quick under the bar (in fact i was shocked watching the video at just HOW quick he was!) and chigishev has obvioulsy developed this sort of bar path to exentuate

  • Is it wrong?

    No.

If elite athletes lift this way, that means it works, right?

Well yeah, then again, if they lifted more efficiently, wouldn't it be plausible that their results may improve assuming the strength remains the same?
