He didn't like water but suddenly on this very hot day last August, he just jumped in and had so much fun that he started blitzing! Now I have a water loving Bichon.

Well not dogs can't swim instictively. Only water breeds ( and probaly retrivers ) can swim instictively because swimming is in their blood so they know it by blood.

Aw too bad. But it's okay, as long as you put a life-jacket on Chicka when you are on/in the water, then she will be safe. :)

If she's not eating much and seems "off", it's best to get her examined by a Vet. If everything is okay, you may want to change her food. Sometimes dogs eat poop just because it's gross,lol, and dogs do gross things sometimes, but other times, dogs will eat poop because they are lacking some vitmains and/or minerals. If you feed kibble, feed a human-grade one. Grain-free ones are good especially if your dog has allergies but make sure it's a good one.

A good kibble is not purina,iams,pedigree,science diet, or royal canin, those are all really bad foods with poor quality ingredients and ingredients that aren't really good for dogs at all. (Like corn, wheat, soy and bad cancer-causing chemicals like BHT and BHA.) Stay away from all of those. A really good one is Orijen, but some dogs find it too rich, so you could try Acana grain-free which is made by the same company and also has excellent human-grade ingredients.

I have also heard good things about Wellness Core, Taste of the Wild, and Innova Evo, but I've never tried them. It is also good to add a little bit of meat or canned food to kibble (if you're feeding kibble). It's not very natural for animals to eat cereal type food for the rest of their lives, so there will be problems like boredom with food and stuff. Also be sure to rotate food, different flavors but switch gradually. Feeding the same food can cause problems
