The Seven Arguments against Christian Dependence on Pagan Religions

Has Christianity been copied from ancient pagan religions? I think the logical answer is no. However, there are some who would argue the contrary. There are many who seem to want to believe that Christianity is a copycat religion and thus accept any evidence that they feel backs up their beliefs whether that evidence is truthful or not. Regardless of who you are, the thesis that Christianity was copied from pagan religions has been denounced by educated scholars for quite some time now. The debate now is if Christ rose from the dead. Not if He was a copycat solar myth.

  • This video is so mad weak!Is this all the poster can offer?WOW!

  • If you would like to try to refute and debunk it. Please do so. Otherwise stop rambling.

  • This is very dry, and more a matter of uncited opinion than actually stating any facts.

I'll have to make some video response to this when I have time.

  • I'm looking forward to your video response.

  • You seem to have made 7 assertions, none of which you are unable to document or prove. Sounds like a bit a false witness bearing to me:-)

  • @ZeitgeistDebunked

what happened to the "illogical assumption" of "just bcuz 2 religions live side by side..." Etc 1

2, pagan religions date millenniums before Christianity. 5 minuets of research will show you that.

3 the birth of Christ was originally celebrated on Jan 6, not dec 25. The holiday was moved in order to gain more converts.

I highly recommend doing research before you "ramble" on about something you know nothing of.

  • so you are rambling without evidence, and apparently unfamiliar with the pagan myths that came long before you myth. so other than the dramatic music, um I see nothing here of any value

  • @ZeitgeistDebunked You are the one who's rambling. Also, you don't have one shred of evidence for any of your claims. Christianity is almost an exact copy of the ancient Egyptian religion, and it PRE dates Christianity by centuries.

  • @iLLGateZ thank you

  • There is nothing proving that Jesus was never born; nor is there proof that he was ever born. Details such as these are precisely hidden or destroyed. Christians do not want their religion proven, as it denies the fact that it takes faith to believe in it. Only those willing to believe without hard evidence are genuine in their faith. This coming from an active Atheist.

  • @thex13thxchild weLL said

  • Horus was the Sun God of Egypt @ 3000 BC. He was called "the son" & "the light"; he was born on Dec. 25th; born of a virgin; birth accompanied by star in the east; adored by 3 kings; teacher at age 12; baptized at age 30; he had 12 disciples; healed sick; walked on water; called the lamb of god, called the light, crucified, dead for 3 days, resurrected..3000 yrs before jesus.

  • So in other words, make up a bunch of bullshit and cite it as facts. How very Christian of you.

  • Let me just go one by one on this one:

    1) When creating something, you use the things around you. Thats how it happens, dear.

    2) As this is video about one of the least possible religions out there, I'm just going to let this one go

3)Some writers may, but EVERYTHING ELSE is correct. The world was pagan before the Abrahamic religions

    4) and 5)You have to have familiar beliefs for people to latch on

    6) That isn't worth a responds

    7) That is horribly wrong, historically and morally

  • what a piece of shit

  • This is fucking dumb. Note that at 1:06, it's standard practice for the party trying to prove the existence of something/somebody to provide his own documentation. If somebody argues against you, it's your job as a christ dick-sucker to provide historical (non-biblical, as the bible is a patchwork of bullshit) documentation to prove it.
