Jeff Slavens, http://www.slavensracing.com demonstrates the WP factory recommended method for filling and setting the fluid level on WP KTM Husaberg open chamber forks. This method also works on KYB and Showa open chamber forks.

  • No

  • 120mm from the top

  • Depends on what year the bike is. '07 -'11 SX are closed chamber.

  • No.

  • You're welcome.

  • Sorry, I don't have a video on changing oil/rebuilding the fork. Tighten the cap until it bottoms on the spindle.

  • 2 questions -

    1. Where is the oil level measured from? I assumed it was from the top of the outside tube but was told you measure from the inside tube.

    2. My cap bottoms against the 22mm double-flanged nut, not the threaded rod. What's going on?

  • Does this method of putting out air (bubbles) from fork tube also works on conventional forks like WP Extreme 50.

Or do I have to pull up and cover with hand in the mean time?

    Like the opposite.

    Thanks for the answer

  • would this work on the 03 ktm sx 125? how many mm from the top must be oil level? thanks

  • this the same on a KTM 250 XC 2008?

  • These apply to the race tech suspensions too?
