  • Oh for God's sake calm down. You asked for feedback, no you are taking my head off for it. DO whatever you want, just take a xanax and give the rest of the world a break ok?

  • Well, when you think along the types of interview formats that people like Mike DOuglas do, when the English words are superimposed over the other language when the questions are being asked, that seems to flow far more smoothly, to me.

Again, great video, I applaud your efforts!

  • It's actually spelled "maiko." But very awesome experience! Kikune-san is a very lovely maiko-san. =) And she will become a very lovely geiko-san! And I had no idea she was from Kyushu! Very fascinating.

  • Wonderful! What a privilege to talk to a maiko. A very interesting interview. Thanks for posting.

  • Calm? Totally. Taking your head off LOL? Nope. Just making a point. Have a nice day :) (Thanks for the advice about the Xanax, it works a treat ;)

  • OMG. WTF? LOL. I'm one person (who knows nothing) with a DVR, no technical support and imovie to edit and I taught myself everything from scratch. Give me a break LOL.

That said, you might be right, I'll give it a go if there's ever a next time which I doubt because it took me days to produce this.

But maybe i can get some pointers taking a look at the videos you've done - what's your channel? And/or please send the links via email, you can find me at my website....

  • Hmmmm. I don't think it would have worked to let it roll, it would have been too long. There was all kinds of translation stuff that happened in between, i asked question in English, someone translated to japanese, then she answered, then English translation.... very cumbersome.

U may not have meant to sound critical, but u certainly did. "I HATE" are fairly strong words LOL :)

There are two other parts BTW. And a 4th not yet finished.

  • I would have just let it roll - personally I found it disjointed with the screen fading to black every 2 minutes. I loved the interview though. What an amazing experience for you to meet a meiko. I don't mean to sound critical.

  • How would you approach it differently?

I was with translator. I asked question in english, translator asked her kiku ne in japanese. after she answered translator told me answer in english.

this was my first attempt at interview such as this.

    suggestions more than welcome :)

  • I love this interview but HATE how it keeps fading to black every time she answers a question. Really annoying.
