Macon Symphony Orchestra and the McDuffie Center for Strings performing "Habanera" from Bizet's opera "Carmen" Nov. 19th at Fresh Market City Cafe and Nov. 20th at Kroger Shoppes at River Crossing.
The performance is one of 1,000 Random Acts of Culture taking place nationally over the next three years, funded by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation. Knight Foundation's Random Acts of Culture bring artists out of the performance halls and into the streets and our everyday lives.

This is a great idea and definitely would've loved doing this back when I was in band (and somewhat decent on my Clarinet or Sax) It's always great to see the arts performed on the streets. Sad that this is the first to go in our schools...

I love to see the children soaking up all of this culture. I bet it has a lasting and profoundly positive effect on their future. Every time they hear this song from now on, they will remember this Random Act of Culture. Bravo!
